전시 소개 ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
우손갤러리 서울은 5월 28일부터 7월 25일까지 이안리 개인전 《After the Hull》을 선보입니다.
이안리 작가는 선체(Hull)를 단순한 구조물이 아닌 하나의 피부로 바라보며, 완성된 형태라기보다 이미 사라지기 시작한 상태에서 남겨진 감각과 흔적에 주목합니다.
“우리는 배를 기억한다고 생각하는데, 가만히 보면 사실은 배 자체라기보다 그 이후에 남아 있는 것들을 떠올리는 것 같아요.”—이안리
철이 녹슬고, 페인트가 갈라지고, 색이 번져가는 변화 속에서 작가는 천천히 떠오르는 흔적, 오래도록 희미하게 남아있는 잔상에 집중합니다.
이번 전시 《After the Hull》 에서는, 대상이 지닌 본질을 조형적으로 풀어내는 이안리 작가가 포착한 여러 층의 시간의 표면과 그 이후의 풍경을 함께 살펴보고자 합니다.

Wooson Gallery Seoul is pleased to present 《After the Hull》, a solo exhibition by Ahnnlee Lee(@Ahnnlee), on view from May 28 through July 25.
Approaching the hull not simply as a structure but as a form of skin, Lee focuses on the sensations and traces that remain in states already entering disappearance rather than completion.
“We think we remember the Hull, but when we look closely, what stays with us may not be the Hull itself, but what remains after it.” — Ahnnlee Lee
Through rusting steel, peeling paint, and bleeding color, the artist attends to traces that slowly surface and afterimages that linger over time.
Through 《After the Hull》, viewers are invited to encounter the layered surfaces of time and the landscapes that follow in its wake, as captured through Ian Lee’s sculptural exploration of the essential qualities of his subjects.
