전시 소개 ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
디아컨템포러리는 오는 5월 30일부터 6월 20일까지 남궁솔 작가의 국내 첫 개인전 《파랗고 일렁이는》을 개최합니다.
독일 라이프치히를 기반으로 활동하는 남궁솔은 스쳐 지나가는 풍경과 감각의 잔상을 회화로 담아냅니다. 작가는 일상 속에서 마주한 빛과 공기, 움직임과 분위기처럼 쉽게 사라지는 순간들을 화면 위에 천천히 쌓아 올립니다. 작업 속 대상들은 구체적인 형태로 재현되기보다 기억 속에 남아 있는 인상과 감각의 상태로 머물며, 새소리와 아침의 빛, 따뜻한 공기처럼 형태 없는 감각들까지도 화면 안에 담아내고자 합니다.
남궁솔의 풍경은 특정 장소나 장면이라기보다 어떤 순간이 지나간 뒤의 분위기(atmosphere)를 그리는 동시에, 마음속에 오래 남아 있는 잔상의 회화를 그려냅니다. 작가는 희미하게 남겨진 기억의 결을 따라가며, 오래도록 잔잔하게 머무는 장면들을 그려냅니다.

We are thrilled to announce our forthcoming exhibition 𝘉𝘭𝘶𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘞𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨, the first solo presentation of NAMGUNG Sol in Seoul, on view from 30 May to 20 June 2026.
NAMGUNG Sol is a Korean artist based in Leipzig, Germany, who translates fleeting landscapes and afterimages of passing moments into painting. Sol gently layers transient experiences encountered in everyday life — light, air, movement, and atmosphere — onto the surface of the canvas. Rather than mirroring what she sees, the subjects in her works remain as states of perception and memory, while intangible sensations such as birdsong, morning light, and warm air quietly permeate the paintings.
Her landscapes do not depict a specific place or scene as much as they evoke the atmosphere that lingers after a moment has passed. Her paintings unfold as landscapes of afterimages — impressions that remain in the mind long after they disappear.
