전시 소개 ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
오는 5월 15일(금), 권영환, 배윤재, 손배영, 이연진, 전형배x금지수, 홍다린 총 6명(팀)의 작가가 참여하는 기획전 《find and found》가 개최됩니다.
이번 전시는 제목이 시사하듯 무언가를 찾거나(find) 무언가 발견되는(found) 행위가 형성하는 시간적·개념적 관계를 바탕으로 개별 전시작의 출발점과 작업과정에 주목하며, 일상 속에서 간과되던 미시적 존재와 감각을 다시금 호출합니다. 이는 익숙한 구조를 재해석‧재조립하는 과정, 무심코 지나치던 도심 속 잔해들, 어느 한 순간 느꼈던 찰나의 감정, 별개의 사물이 연결되어 새로운 임시적 환경을 조성하는 지점, 시청각적 효과로 전환되는 장소성 등을 매개로 상기됩니다. 지하 1층부터 지상 5층까지 총 6개 층으로 구성된 전시장에 머무시는 동안 작가들이 무언가를 의도적으로 찾아냈거나 우연히 발견하게 된 창의적 여정에 동행해보시길 바랍니다.

Gongsil is pleased to announce its third edition, a group exhibition titled ’find and found,‘ opening on May 15. The exhibition will feature works by six artists (teams), including Younghwan Kwon, Bae Yunjae, Bae young Son, YounJin Lee, Hyeongbae Jeon x Jisoo Gold, and Darin Hong.
‘find and found’ explores the temporal and conceptual relationship between the terms ”find“ and ”found,“ further alluding to the origins and working processes of each exhibited work, and ultimately calling for the revalidation of subtle beings and sensibilities that often go unnoticed in everyday life. This experience is channeled through processes and features such as reinterpreting and reassembling familiar architectural structures; fragments of the city that often go unnoticed; fleeting emotions experienced in passing moments; times at which disparate objects come together to form new, temporary environments; and the transformation of spaces through audiovisual effects. As visitors walk through the exhibition, which spans six floors from the basement level to the fifth floor, they can find themselves joining the artists on their creative journeys—whether driven by deliberate searching or by chance discoveries.
