토탈미술관 50주년 특별전
2026년, 토탈미술관이 ‘토탈’이라는 이름으로 예술과 함께해 온 50년을 맞이합니다. 1976년 동숭동 토탈갤러리에서 시작해 장흥을 거쳐 평창동에 이르기까지, 토탈미술관은 시대의 변화 속에서 예술과 사회를 연결하는 다양한 실험을 이어왔습니다.
개관 50주년을 맞아 선보이는 《한국미술 0년: 42개의 이야기》는 지난 반세기를 되돌아보는 회고전이 아닙니다. 1903년 하와이 이주에서 2026년 오늘에 이르기까지, 120여 년에 걸친 한국미술의 시간과 사건, 이동과 기억을 42개의 이야기를 통해 새롭게 바라봅니다.
약 60명의 작가가 참여하는 이번 전시는 미술관 전관에 펼쳐진 8개 영역과 42개의 스토어프런트를 통해 익숙한 미술사의 경계를 넘어 또 다른 질문을 던집니다.

Total Museum of Contemporary Art 50th Anniversary Special Exhibition
In 2026, Total Museum marks 50 years of working with art under the name 'Total'. From its beginnings as Total Gallery in Dongsung-dong in 1976, through Jangheung, to Pyeongchang-dong today, the museum has pursued experiments connecting art and society amid a changing era.
Presented for its 50th anniversary, Korean Art Year Zero: 42 Stories is not a retrospective of the past half-century. Spanning more than 120 years—from the 1903 migration to Hawaii to the present day of 2026—it looks anew at the times, events, movements, and memories of Korean art through 42 stories.
With around 60 participating artists, the exhibition unfolds across the entire museum in 8 sections and 42 storefronts, crossing the boundaries of familiar art history to pose new questions.
After 50 years of history, starting again from 'Year Zero'.
