8월 14일부터 10월 18일까지 《오프 더 화이트: 무늬와 정보》가 열립니다. 건축 100주년을 맞은 일민미술관이 '미술관'이라는 장소를 작동시키는 조건들에 주목하는 릴레이 전시입니다. 곽이브는 작품을 걸고 내린 흔적이 쌓인 벽을 탁본해 접촉의 자국과 손으로 그린 형상이 겹쳐진 무늬를 만들고, 노송희는 자료실의 기록물에서 출발해 날짜와 예산, 치수로 관리되어 온 아카이브의 작동 방식을 퍼즐로 옮깁니다. 참여작가 곽이브, 노송희

Ilmin Museum of Art is pleased to present 𝘖𝘧𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘦: 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘬 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘥, on view from August 14 to October 18. Marking the 100th anniversary of its 1926 building, the museum opens a relay exhibition on the conditions that enable a museum before any location is called forth as a site: walls and floors, storage and display, habits and affects. Kwak Eve takes rubbings of walls layered with the traces of works hung and removed, overlaying them with drawn forms; Noh Songhee turns documents from the museum's archive into a puzzle in flux, revealing an exhibition history administered through dates, budgets, and dimensions.
