전시 소개 ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
베니스 비엔날레 한국관을 향과 냄새로 채웠던 구정아 작가가 리움미술관을 찾아옵니다. 한국에서 선보이는 가장 큰 규모의 개인전으로, 로비와 M2 전시장, 벽 뒤나 고미술품 사이 등 예기치 못한 공간에서 작가의 작품을 마주치게 됩니다. 구정아가 열어 놓은 이 기묘한 세계는 미술관 곳곳에 스며들어 익숙한 공간을 낯설고 불가해한 땅으로 변모시킵니다. 구정아는 자력이나 향처럼 눈에 보이지 않지만 존재하는 에너지의 흐름을 탐구하며, 세밀하면서도 모호하게 우리의 감각 질서를 교란시킵니다. 이번 전시에서 그는 자신이 창조한 개념적 세계, “우쓰(OUSSS): 가상도 현실도 아닌, 이해할 수 없지만 감지할 수 있는 맞닿은 세계”로 관객을 초대해, 우리가 세계를 인식하는 방식을 새롭게 확장합니다.

The largest presentation of KOO JEONG A’s work in Korea to date, this exhibition allows her works to quietly seep into the museum, transforming familiar spaces into unexpected and enigmatic terrain. Exploring invisible yet palpable flows of energy, such as magnetism or scent, KOO invites visitors into an unsettling sensory experience, guiding them toward her conceptual realm, OUSSS, an incomprehensible yet perceptible universe. Unfolding across the museum—from the M2 Gallery to the lobby and into unexpected places such as behind walls or among antique objects—the exhibition expands the ways we understand and experience the world, gently shifting and recalibrating our ways of sensing.
