전시 소개 ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
“…인간이 개입한 공간을 나무는 가로지른다. 이 비가시적인 확산은 뒤엉켜 끝없이 지속된다. 《겹치고 겹쳐서 비정형으로》 연작은 도시와 자연의 뒤틀린 균형을 이완시키고 싶다는 생각에서 시작되었다. 사진은 기록이 아닌 하나의 좌표가 되고, 그 위에 겹쳐지는 흔적들은 나무의 리듬을 따라 퍼져나간다. 쉼 없이 변해가는 인간의 도시와 그 속에서 느리게 확장하는 자연의 시차를 사진과 그림이 가지는 다른 속도를 겹쳐 시각화한다. 나는 이렇게 상이한 시간성을 쌓아 올려 숱하게 지나치는 존재들을 다시금 마주해보려 한다.”

“…Trees cut across the spaces where humans have intervened. This invisible spread tangles and continues without end. The series Overlapping into the Amorphous began from a wish to loosen the warped balance between the city and nature. A photograph becomes not a record but a coordinate, and the traces layered upon it spread out following the rhythm of the trees. The time lag between the ceaselessly changing human city and the nature slowly expanding within it is made visible by overlaying the different speeds that photography and painting hold. By stacking these dissimilar temporalities, I try to meet again the countless beings we pass by.”
