전시 소개 ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
WWNN의 서른여덟 번째 전시로, 독일 베를린에서 거주하며 활동하는 안재홍의 개인전 <Shells and Stems>를 선보인다. 안재홍 작가는 인간과 비인간, 인공과 자연이 교차하는 장면을 통해 우리가 당연하게 여겨온 현실의 질서와 경계를 탐구한다. 고요하고 밀도 높은 회화 속에서 익숙한 사물과 공간은 낯선 관계 속에 놓이며, 기존의 분류와 위계는 서서히 흔들린다. 본 전시에서 작가는 안정적으로 보이는 현실의 이면에 잠재된 균열과 서로 다른 존재 방식의 긴장을 조명한다.
WWNN's thirty-eighth exhibition presents Shells and Stems, a solo exhibition by Berlin-based artist Jaehong Ahn. Through scenes where the human and the non-human, the artificial and the natural intersect, Ahn explores the order and boundaries of reality that we have taken for granted. In quiet, dense paintings, familiar objects and spaces are placed in unfamiliar relationships, and existing classifications and hierarchies slowly begin to waver. In this exhibition, the artist illuminates the cracks latent beneath a seemingly stable reality and the tension between different ways of being.
