ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

캔파운데이션은 2026년 9월 1일부터 10월 3일까지 MO BY CAN에서 이호진 개인전 《The Horizon》을 개최합니다.

Can Foundation presents The Horizon, a solo exhibition by Hojin Lee, at MO BY CAN from 1 September to 3 October 2026. Marking the artist's first presentation with Can Foundation in roughly three years since The Location (2023), the exhibition takes as its starting point actual landscapes viewed from an elevated vantage point, over which Lee layers his own experience, time, and memory to render an emotive scene. Having moved from a gaze directed at society and relationships toward a growing focus on his own position and viewpoint, the artist here turns further inward, toward more personal experience. The exhibition's title, 'Horizon,' names both a boundary dividing distinct domains and a continuous line that carries on without break. Lee approaches it not as a fixed landscape but as a point of vision in constant flux, shifting according to where one stands and what one has lived. The show presents new large-scale paintings alongside installation work, tracing the direction of the artist's recent practice. At MO BY CAN, where wide windows open onto a panorama of Hannam-dong, the works carrying the artist's gaze meet the actual cityscape.
