전시 소개 ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
파이프갤러리는 6월 2일부터 7월 1일까지 김명찬(b.1992)과 양소정(b.1979)의 2인전 《Transient》를 개최합니다. 이번 전시는 고정되지 않는 형상과 감각, 그리고 사라져가는 존재의 흔적을 잠시 붙들어두려는 두 작가의 공통된 태도에서 출발합니다. 《Transient》는 ‘일시적인’, ‘잠시 머무는’을 의미하며, 생성과 소멸 사이를 스쳐 지나가는 짧은 시간과 감각에 주목합니다.
전시는 완결된 형상과 고정된 의미보다 생성과 소멸 사이에 놓인 잠정적 상태를 드러내며, 화면 위에 남겨진 흔적과 머뭇거리는 시간의 층위를 통해 사라져가는 존재의 윤곽과 붙잡히지 않는 감각의 잔상을 응시하게 합니다.

Pipe Gallery is pleased to present 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵, a two-person exhibition by Myungchan Kim (b.1992) and Sojeong Yang (b.1979), on view from June 2 to July 1. The exhibition begins from the artists’ shared attention to unstable forms, fleeting sensations, and traces of vanishing presence. Meaning “temporary” or “briefly lingering,”
𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵 focuses on the fleeting interval between emergence and dissolution. Rather than presenting fixed meanings or completed forms, the exhibition reveals provisional states suspended between formation and disappearance, inviting viewers to attend to fading traces and elusive sensations that momentarily remain upon the surface.
